HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (March 11, 2015) – The Edinboro women's tennis team earned a 6-3 triumph over Michigan Tech on Wednesday morning on day three of the Spring Tennis Fest at Chaplin Park in Hilton Head Island, S.C. The Fighting Scots snapped a two-game skid and improved to 4-3 with the win, while the Huskies fell to 5-10 on the season.
In doubles play,
RyAnne' Baldwin and
Marija Tmusic collected an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles, while the tandem of
Julia Hellstern and
Lydia Browne won by default at third doubles.
Oranza Carrillo picked up an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles, with Tmusic winning by a score of 9-8 at the third singles position.
Katie Allan earned an 8-4 victory at No. 5 singles, while
Nevena Kulina collected a win by default at the No. 6 singles slot.
Edinboro is back in action tomorrow at noon facing off with Florida Tech at Hilton Head High School.
