EDINBORO, Pa. (April 1, 2015) – The Edinboro women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to 12th-ranked California (Pa.) to open PSAC play on Wednesday afternoon in Edinboro, Pa. The Fighting Scots moved to 5-7 overall and 0-1 in the conference, while the Vulcans boosted their records to 4-2 and 1-0, respectively.
 
Julia Hellstern was edged by nationally-ranked Kiefer Shaw 7-6 in the second set. Shaw is 23rd in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Singles Rankings.
 
Edinboro returns right back to action tomorrow hosting Slippery Rock in a PSAC matchup at 3:30 p.m.
