ERIE, Pa. (April 2, 2015) – The Edinboro women's tennis team was narrowly defeated by a score of 5-4 in a PSAC matchup on Thursday evening at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, Pa. The match was originally scheduled to be played outdoors in Edinboro, but was moved to the Westwood Club because of rain.
The Fighting Scots fall to 5-8 overall and 0-2 in PSAC action, while The Rock improves to 7-7 and 1-2, respectively.
The duo of
Julia Hellstern and
Lydia Browne earned an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles, while the tandem of
RyAnne' Baldwin and
Marija Tmusic won by default at the No. 2 doubles slot.
Baldwin also picked up a 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 triumph at fourth singles, and
Katie Allan collected a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 5 singles position.
Edinboro returns to action on Tuesday, April 7 hosting Mercyhurst in a PSAC contest at 3 p.m.
