ERIE, Pa. (September 21, 2015) – Ten members of the Edinboro University women's tennis team competed this weekend at the United States Tennis Association/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic Regional Singles and Doubles Championships, hosted by Mercyhurst University at the Pennbriar Athletic Club.

The Fighting Scots' Julia Hellstern made it to the Round of 16. She defeated Charleston's Taylor Todd in the first round, 6-1 and 6-3, and beat Mercyhurst's Kayla Frost in the second round in three sets, 5-7, 6-2 and 10-6. Hellstern lost her Round of 16 match to California (Pa.)'s Lena Dimmer, 6-2 and 6-3.

Edinboro's Roxana Yeh, Marija Tmusic and Nevena Kulina won their first round matches before falling in the second round.

Anastasiya Dasik and Laura Lopez won their first-round doubles match against Slippery Rock's Amanda Bruscemi and Kylee Woodman, 8-3, but fell in the second round.

The Fighting Scots return to action on Friday, October 2 at East Stroudsburg at 3:00 p.m.
