Clarion, Pa. - The Edinboro women's tennis team earned a 7-0 road victory over Clarion on Saturday.
The Scots earned the doubles point by sweeping all doubles matches. Cecilia Carayol and Sofia Benito won 6-1, both Rafaella de Almeida and Maria Clara Salomao, as well as Luciana Ponce and Lara Sener went 6-0.
In singles action, Edinboro swept Clarion 6-0. Carayol was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at number one over Davan Lion, and Ponce won 6-1, 6-0 over number two Stephanie Juarez Murguia. Benito beat number three Josie Beckerleg 6-0, 6-0, and Sener was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at number four against Polia Vladeva.Â
De Almeida beat number five Emily McMahan 6-1, 6-1, and Mary Gerace finished the sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 over number six Taelyn Thomas.
