Cane Lake, Fla. – The Edinboro women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Division I Hampton Sunday in the opening match of their annual spring break trip.
 
The Pirates took the doubles point sweeping all three matches. Tanya Midzi and Samira Khazieva defeated Cecelia Carayol and Sofia Benito 6-3. Toffee Ghorab and Chelsea Chakanyuka were 6-1 winners over Neza Rogl and Oliva Brown.
 
In singles action, Carayol dropped a 6-1, 6-2 decision to Serena Bryan. Luciana Ponce fell 6-2,6-2 to Midzi and Benito dropped a 6-0, 6-1 match to Ghorab.
 
Rogel played number four singles dropping a 6-4, 7-5 decision to Chakanyuka. Brown rounded out the singles matches with a 6-1, 6-0 loss to Khazieva.
 
The Scots return to action on Monday with a match against Capital University.
