On March 26, 2013, Cleary was officially introduced as Edinboro's tenth head coach after Walcavich announced his retirement. Cleary's teams have improved each year since his appointment, with his 2015-16 team earning the third seed in the PSAC West Tournament with a 15-11 overall record and 14-8 league mark. He made the playoffs for the first time in 2014-15 with a 14-13 record, a four-game improvement over his first year, after being chosen to finish eighth in the PSAC West preseason poll.

Millersville: Casey Stitzel, Widener '05 (0-1, 1st year; Career: 116-97, 9th year)
Casey Stitzel was named the Marauders' head coach on May 18, 2016. Stitzel, a two-time MAC Freedom Coach of the Year, spent the previous eight seasons as head coach at Delaware Valley University. In just his third season at DelVal, Stitzel guided his team to a 17-11 record and the school's first-ever MAC Freedom Championship. DelVal had never before won a postseason game. Stitzel won a second MAC Freedom Tournament in 2013 with a 19-9 record. His third league crown in eight seasons came in 2016 while posting a program record 20 wins. He is the son of former Millersville basketball and baseball player Glenn Stitzel, who was a 1,000-point scorer for the Marauders from 1965-68.

Fite inherited a seven-win team upon his hiring on June 20, 2013, and after a three-win campaign his first year, he led Shippenburg to a 10-win improvement in 2014-15 and earned the Eastern Division No. 6 seed in the PSAC Tournament. His 2015-16 team won 20 games and made it to the PSAC Semifinals. Fite, a former Division III national champion and Hall-of-Fame player at Rochester, previously served as the assistant coach at Indiana (Pa.) from 2006-13 after a pair of one-year stops as assistant coach at Saint Vincent and Rochester.
