The Game StoryThe PSAC Tournament-bound Fighting Scots return from a week off on Saturday when they host Seton Hill on Senior Day at 3:00 p.m. at McComb Fieldhouse. The Fighting Scots will honor five seniors prior to the game. Edinboro will also celebrate "Make-A-Wish" Day, marking the third time that Edinboro will host the event. The Scots are tied with Mercyhurst for second in the PSAC West with a 14-9 overall mark and a 13-7 PSAC record, while Seton Hill is in seventh place and in a battle for the final playoff spot at 11-13 and 9-11, respectively.

Tommy Scales,
Nate Stepney, and
Henri Wade-Chatman will be recognized prior to the game. Wade-Chatman has played for the Fighting Scots the last three years, ranking 13th all-time in career scoring with 1,324 points in just 76 games. The 6'2" guard has started every game of his Edinboro career. Robinson, Scales, and Stepney all joined the Fighting Scots last year and have helped Edinboro qualify for the PSAC Tournament the last two years. In addition,
Will Marrow, who has served as the team's student assistant coach, will also be honored. Marrow played for Edinboro the previous two years and would have been a senior this year, but he ran out of eligibility.
Chibunna Ukandu, who is listed on the roster as a senior, is redshirting this year and will return to the Fighting Scots in 2016-17.
The Fighting Scots locked up both a PSAC Tournament spot and a home playoff game with a 97-94 overtime victory against Clarion last Saturday, their second straight overtime win. Edinboro is 3-1 in overtime games. The Fighting Scots now need one more PSAC win or one more loss by Pitt-Johnstown to clinch no worse than third place in the Western Division. They are tied with Mercyhurst for second place, although the Lakers own the tiebreaker thanks to a win over Indiana (Pa.). The Crimson Hawks have clinched the first seed in the West.
Edinboro was scheduled to play second-ranked Wheeling Jesuit on Tuesday, but the game was cancelled due to poor weather and traveling conditions.
Saturday's contest features three of the top four scorers in the PSAC. Edinboro guards
Jaymon Mason (21.4 ppg.) and
Henri Wade-Chatman (19.7 ppg.) rank second and fourth, respectively, while Seton Hill senior guard Kameron Taylor is third at 20.5 ppg. Mason and Wade-Chatman are the conference's leading-scoring tandem at a combined 41.1 ppg.
This marks just the seventh time that Edinboro and Seton Hill will meet, with the Fighting Scots owning a 4-2 lead in the series. They met just once prior to the Griffins joining the PSAC in 2013-14. Edinboro won its third straight meeting against Seton Hill with a 99-88 victory on January 24. In a game that was delayed one day due to Winter Storm Jonas, the Scots shot a season-high 64.3 percent (36-for-53) from the field, with redshirt sophomore guard

Henri Wade-Chatman added 23 points and 20 points, respectively. Seton Hill junior forward Noah Davis netted a career-high 33 points while sophomore guard Trevor Blondin added 22 points. Kameron Taylor was held to 14 points after playing just 25 minutes due to foul trouble, including playing just five minutes in the first half.
The Griffins are battling with Pitt-Johnstown, Clarion, and Slippery Rock for the final three spots in the PSAC Tournament. Since losing to Edinboro on January 24, Seton Hill won four of their next five games and had a three-game winning streak before falling to Mercyhurst, 74-61, on Wednesday. They are first in the PSAC and 23rd in NCAA Division II in field goal percentage at 49.0 percent. The Griffins top the conference and rank 15th nationally in blocked shots at 4.9 blocks per game. SHU is 11th in the PSAC in scoring at 74.2 ppg. and 13th in scoring defense at 75.8 ppg.
Jaymon Mason had his fourth 30-point game and third double-double at UPJ with 34 points and 12 rebounds. He became the first Fighting Scot with at least four 30-point games since 1995-96, when his father and Edinboro's all-time leading scorer Tyrone Mason did it 11 times. Mason then broke the school season record Saturday for made free throws with 144, passing Billy Wade, who made 139 free throws in 1989-90. The 6'3" guard ranks fourth in the conference in free throw percentage at 85.2 percent (144-for-169), ninth in 3-point field goal percentage at 39.8 percent (47-for-118), and 13th in field goal percentage at 45.5 percent (151-for-332). Mason has 885 career points through his first 50 games and scored a career-high 39 points against Kutztown on November 21.
Henri Wade-Chatman moved into 13th all-time at Edinboro in career points last week with 1,324 points in just 76 games. He led the team with 27 points against Clarion, including seven of Edinboro's 13 overtime points, and a season-high five steals. He shot 10-for-15 from the field and a perfect 2-for-2 from 3-point range. He stands seventh all-time in career 3-pointers made (152) and career 3-pointers attempted (397). The 6'2" senior is 14th in the PSAC in 3-point field goal percentage at 36.4 percent (47-for-129) and 14th in free throw percentage at 78.7 percent (107-for-136). He is also second in the conference in steals at 2.0 steals per game.

Tommy Scales, after totaling just 41 points in his last five games, registered his fifth double-double and second 20-point game against Clarion with 21 points and 12 rebounds. The 6'8" former transfer from Fairmont State leads the Scots and is 10th in the PSAC in rebounds with 7.0 rpg. He is third on the team in scoring at 12.0 ppg. and fourth in the PSAC in field goal percentage at 53.3 percent (112-for-210).
Edinboro is second in the conference and 38th in NCAA Division II in free throw percentage at 75.0 percent and ranks sixth in in the PSAC in 3-point field goal percentage at 36.1 percent (150-for-415). They are fifth in the conference in scoring at 78.2 ppg. and 15th in scoring defense at 78.7 ppg.

Wade-Chatman contributed 20 points. He made 6-of-11 field goals and 7-of-10 free throws, while handing out a team-high five assists. Noah Davis again bedeviled the Scots, posting a career-high 33 points. Trevor Blondin had 22 points and Kameron Taylor 14.
Last Time OutFebruary 13, 2016 - Edinboro 97, Clarion 94 (OT)Edinboro clinched a PSAC Tournament berth and a home playoff game by winning its third of four overtime games this season. The Fighting Scots outscored Clarion in the extra session, 13-10, with
Henri Wade-Chatman scoring seven overtime points on his way to a team-high 27 markers for the contest. The Golden Eagles led 89-87 in overtime before Wade-Chatman netted a 3-pointer to give Edinboro the lead for good with 3:28 to play. The game featured 13 ties and 12 lead changes. Edinboro moved out to a 75-64 lead with 7:38 to play in regulation, but the Golden Eagles ran off 12 straight points over the next four minutes to move ahead, 76-75. The game would be tied three more times in regulation after that, along with a three lead changes. Edinboro ended the game shooting 55.0 percent (33-of-60), while Clarion shot 47.7 percent (31-of-65).
Tommy Scales had his fifth double-double and second 20-point game with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while
Jaymon Mason finished with 17 points. Mason made 6-of-9 free throws, in the process breaking Billy Wade's school record for free throws made in a season with 144.

February 17, 2016 - Mercyhurst 74, Seton Hill 61The Griffins saw their three-game winning streak come to an end as Mercyhurst shot 63.0 percent in the first half on their way to a 43-29 halftime advantage. Despite SHU shooting 61.9 percent in the second half, they were unable to pull closer than eight points. Mercyhurst led by as much as 17 points and outscored the Griffins, 36-14, in the paint. The Lakers cashed in on 17 SHU turnovers for 17 points, while the Lakers turned the ball over just eight times. Noah Davis finished with a team-high 17 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the floor and 3-for-5 from 3-point range. Kameron Taylor added 15 points and led the team with eight rebounds, while Trevor Blondin had 14 points and five boards.
The Head CoachesEdinboro: Pat Cleary (38-38, 3rd Year)Pat Cleary sat at the right side of Edinboro head men's basketball coach Greg Walcavich for 14 years. On March 26, 2013, Cleary was officially introduced as Edinboro's tenth head coach after Walcavich announced his retirement. Cleary's first season ended with a 10-16 record. Edinboro lost three games to nationally-ranked teams and suffered a number of close losses, including two overtime losses and two defeats at the buzzer. Season number two saw the Fighting Scots make the PSAC playoffs as the number five seed after being picked to finish eighth in the PSAC coaches' poll. Edinboro ended the year with a 14-13 record, falling at Slippery Rock, 64-60, in the first round of the PSAC Playoffs. Among the victories was a 79-77 overtime upset of 16th-ranked Indiana (Pa.). The Crimson Hawks would go on to reach the NCAA Division II national championship game.
Seton Hill: Tony Morocco (174-178 13th Year)Tony Morocco is in his 13th season as Seton Hill's head coach and has been the program's lone head coach since its inception in 2002. In 2003-04, Seton Hill's inaugural season of men's basketball, Morocco led the Griffins to an impressive 18-8 overall record and second-place finish in the American Mideast Conference North Division. Morocco's career includes positions with Saint Francis College, the University of Iowa, Long Beach State University, University of Nevada at Las Vegas, Saint Vincent College, and Point Park College. In addition, he has coached professional teams including the Rockford Lightning of the Continental Basketball Association and Arecibo of the Puerto Rican Superior League.

Jaymon Mason (G, 6'3", R-So.) was named the Division II Bulletin Player of the Month for the month of January. He is also a three-time PSAC West Athlete of the Week honoree this season, most recently for the week of January 18. Mason is second in the PSAC and 34th in NCAA Division II in scoring at 21.4 ppg. and currently has 885 career points through 50 games. Mason tallied his fourth 30-point game and third double-double of the year at Pitt-Johnstown last Wednesday with 34 points and 12 rebounds. The last Edinboro player with four-or-more 30-point games was Tyrone Mason, Jaymon's father, who did it 11 times in 1995-96. The 6'3" guard had a career-high 39 points against Kutztown, along with 36 points versus Seton Hill and 35 points in the first meeting with Gannon. Mason has scored in double digits in 21 of 23 games this season. Mason leads the PSAC and is 18th in Division II with 144 free throws made, breaking the single-season school record set by Billy Wade in 1989-90. Mason ranks fourth in the PSAC in free throw percentage at 85.2 percent (144-for-169), ninth in 3-point field goal percentage at 39.8 percent (47-for-118), and 13th in field goal percentage at 45.2 percent (151-for-332). He has led the team in scoring ten times and has scored 20-or-more points on 11 occasions. He is one of only two players in Division II to register a triple-double, which he did against Shippensburg on December 5 (27 pts., 13 reb., 11 asts). Taylor was held to just 14 points and two rebounds in the first meeting with Edinboro while battling foul trouble. He has 1,340 career points.
Junior forward Noah Davis scored a career-high 33 points against Edinboro in their first meeting on January 24. It marked the second time Davis set a career-high against Edinboro.
