ERIE, Pa. (February 28, 2016) – The Edinboro University women's tennis team ran their winning streak to three matches Sunday with an 8-1 win over Daemen. The Fighting Scots improved to 6-1, while the Wildcats fell to 8-13. Edinboro hosted the match at the West Racquet Club in Erie, Pa.

Edinboro swept the singles competition, with all six wins coming in two sets. Julia Hellstern defeated Karli Hollins with matching 6-4 scores while Anastasiya Dasik beat Hayle Scanlan, 7-6 (3). Roxana Yeh and Tatiana Batalla each won with matching 6-1 scores over Jessica Robins and Delaney Fragale, respectively. Marija Tmusic defeated Gretchen Ringler, 6-4 and 6-2, while Jelena Vucenovic completed the sweep with 6-0 and 6-1 wins over Aman Shamaa.

The Scots took two out of three matches in doubles, with Yeh/Vucenovic and Hellstern/Brown beating Robins/Ringler and Shamaa/Maria McGrath, respectively, each by an 8-1 score. The Boro's lone loss Sunday with Dasik/Tmusic falling, 8-2, to Hollins/Scanlan.

The Fighting Scots are back on the court Tuesday when they host Roberts Wesleyan at 11:30 a.m. at the Westwood Racquet Club.
