ERIE, Pa. (April 2, 2016) – The Edinboro University women's tennis team snapped a short two-game losing skid on Saturday afternoon, taking care of visiting West Virginia Wesleyan by a score of 8-1. The Fighting Scots improved to 11-6 overall while the Bobcats fell to 7-5.
Edinboro swept the doubles competition and all but one singles match en route to the victory.
Julia Hellstern suffered the lone loss of the afternoon, dropping a close contest in three sets to West Virginia Wesleyan's Paula Pimenta.
Anastasiya Dasik claimed victory in the only other contest of the day to go to a third set. Dasik took down the Bobcats's Mardina Junyer by scores of 6-3, 3-6, and 7-6.
Edinboro will return to the court on Tuesday, April 5, hosting Clarion for a 2 p.m. match.
