EDINBORO, Pa. - The Edinboro University women's tennis team saw their three-game winning streak snapped at the hands of local PSAC West rival Mercyhurst on Monday afternoon. The Lakers took all but one singles contest en route to the 8-1 victory. With the loss, the Fighting Scots sit at 10-5 overall and in third place in the West with a 3-2 conference ledger while the first place Lakers improved to 14-1 overall and 4-0 in the PSAC West.
 
Tatiana Batalla Trabal registered the lone Edinboro win, taking down Mercyhurst's Alexia Nay by scores of 6-3, 1-6 & 10-3. Batalla Trabal's victory was her team-high 14^th of the season, improving her record to 14-6.
 
Julia Hellstern's match with the Laker's Kayla Frost was the second contest of the day to go to a third set as Frost pulled out the victory by scores of 2-6, 6-3 & 10-8.
 
The Fighting Scots wrap up the regular season on Friday, April 17^th, traveling to Seton Hill for a PSAC West showdown at noon.
