ITA Ranks Edinboro Women's Tennis Among Best in Atlantic Region

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association recently announced its year-end national and regional rankings. The Edinboro women's tennis team ended the year ranked fifth in the Oracle/ITA Atlantic Region Rankings.

Head coach Lee Underwood's team finished the year with an 11-7 record, qualifying for the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time. The Fighting Scots would drop a 5-2 decision to West Virginia State in their first NCAA postseason foray.

In addition, Julia Hellstern ranked 16th in the Atlantic Region singles rankings, while the doubles tandem of Laura Lopez and Roxana Yeh ranked tenth. Hellstern ended the season with a 7-14 record while mainly playing number two singles. Lopez and Yeh teamed in number one doubles and had a 7-14 record.
