ERIE, Pa. -- Seniors Laura Lopez and Tatiana Batalla Trabal made it to the semi-finals of the ITA Atlantic Region Doubles Championship this past weekend as the Edinboro women's tennis team concluded action at the tournament. The tournament was played at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, Pa. Mercyhurst served as the host.

Lopez won her opening "A" singles opening round match before falling to Trinite' Klamadji of Fairmont State, 3-6, 6-1, 10-8. Batalla Trabal also won her opening match before dropping her second round contest to Julia Newman of Indiana(Pa.), 6-1, 6-3.

The Fighting Scots will have two weeks to prepare for the PSAC Singles and Doubles Championships when they travel to Bloomsburg on Sunday, September 30 and Monday, October 1.
