Women's Swimming Team Pursues Second Straight Win at Tiffin

EDINBORO, Pa. – One week after a triumphant debut, the Edinboro men's and swimming teams will return to the pool on Friday, October 25. The Fighting Scots will swim at Tiffin. Both the men and women opened with wins over Indiana(Pa.) last Friday. Tiffin's men's team is 0-1, while the women are 0-2.

Head coach Chris Rhodes' men's team had not opened the dual season with a win since 2014, while the women last opened with a win in 2016. The men's team posted a 102-91 win over IUP, while the women were a 110-95 winner.

The Boro women won eight events against IUP, with five different swimmers winning multiple events. Katelyn Kopacko,, Yana Miletska and Paige Smith took part in three wins, with Kopacko recording an NCAA B qualifying time in the 50-yard freestyle in the process. Seven different swimmers recorded PSAC qualifying marks in a total of ten events.

On the men's side, Nick Bradford, Jackson Bangert, and Luke Edmonds took part in three first place finishes as the Fighting Scots won seven events. Six swimmers in all were winners, with five swimmers registering PSAC qualifying times.
