SRU would close the gap to 23-20 with its own run of five of six points, but back-to-back kills by Cierah Jackson closed out the set at 25-20.
  • The third set was a set of runs. After falling behind early, 6-2, Edinboro would pull even at 9-9 with a string of three straight points. The Fighting Scots grabbed a narrow 12-11 advantage, only to see The Rock run off four consecutive points for a 15-12 lead. The Scots would regain the lead with a 6-0 run featuring a pair of kills by Sally Sterkel and two service aces by Cierah Jackson for an 18-15 lead. Edinboro would not trail again, but could never build a large lead. SRU would close to 24-22, but a Jackson kill wrapped up the set.
