Jankowski Adds D2CCA All-American Honors to Resume'

ROLLA, Mo. – One day after being selected to the 2019 NFCA Division II All-America team, Edinboro's Olivia Jankowski (Hamburg, N.Y./Lancaster) has added another accolade to her resume'.  The senior has been named to the D2CCA All-America Team, once again landing a spot on the first team as an outfielder. The D2CCA All-American teams are selected by members of CoSIDA.

22963Jankowski is Edinboro's second All-American, joining former standout Dana Webb. Webb was an NFCA third team All-American honoree in 2009, and was selected a Daktronics first team All-American that same year. The Daktronics team is now the D2CCA team.

Jankowski was previously named to the NFCA All-Atlantic Region first team and D2CCA All-Atlantic Region first team. She was selected the PSAC West Athlete of the Year, and earned All-PSAC West honors for the third time. She led Edinboro to a 22-19 record and a berth in the PSAC Tournament for the first time since 2014.

It is appropriate that Jankowski joins Webb as an All-American, since the two enjoyed the greatest seasons in Edinboro history.  Jankowski finished with a team-leading .479 batting average, ranking second in the PSAC and sixth in Division II. The average is the second-highest ever in a season at Edinboro. In addition, she set the season record for doubles with 13, and her 10 home runs and 44 RBIs rank second in a season. She finished with 56 hits, which rank fifth in a season, and 28 runs, which is tied for 11th.

She led the PSAC in both home runs per game and slugging percentage (.860), ranking seventh nationally in the latter category. She is also second in the PSAC in RBI per game and on base percentage (.559), ranking ninth in Division II in OBP. She is fourth in the PSAC in doubles per game.

Jankowski put together a 23-game hitting streak during the season. She had 17 multiple-hit games and 14 games with two-or-more RBIs. That includes a six RBI game against Clarion and five runs batted in at Ursuline.

A three-time All-PSAC West honoree, earning the honors in 2016, '18 and '19, Jankowski concluded her career ranking among Edinboro's career leaders in numerous categories. She is fourth in career batting average (.395), third in career RBIs (89), second in doubles (31), tied for fifth in home runs (15), tied for eighth in triples (7), and ninth in hits (139) and runs (74). In addition, she had 22 career stolen bases, which is tied for 14th.
