Lacina Takes Second Place in 1,500-meter Run at SRU Last Chance Meet

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- – The Edinboro men's outdoor track & field team had four student-athletes compete in the SRU Last Chance Meet on Friday. Three of the four failed to post PSAC qualifying marks for the upcoming PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, while Trae Smith did not exceed his previous mark in the javelin, but did post a qualifying mark of 55.93 meters, good for third place.

Jack Lacina fell just shy of qualifying in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:06.04, good for second place. The qualifying time was 4:06.00. Eric Alu was fifth with a time of 4:11.49.

Noah Shettel competed in two events. He was fifth in the 400-meter dash (51.17) and sixth in the 100-meter dash (12.01).
