Youthful Women's Tennis Squad Competes at Walsh on Saturday

EDINBORO, Pa. – While it will only be the 1^st of February, the Edinboro men's and women's tennis teams will open the spring portion of their schedule on Saturday, competing at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.

Head coach Kody Duncan is in his third season in charge of the program. The women's team had a 1-4 record in the fall, picking up a 6-1 decision over East Stroudsburg. The Fighting Scots women's team is comprised of all freshman.

The men's squad did not play any duals in the fall, but come into the spring campaign ranked third in the ITA Atlantic Region rankings. Nils Plutat won the singles title at the PSAC Singles and Doubles Championships, and teamed with Tommy Hsu to capture the doubles crown. A year ago, Edinboro qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the seventh straight year.
