Box Score (New/Sortable Format) EDINBORO, PA - The Fighting Scots (6-2) were able to rediscover their winning form with a 1-0 victory over Pitt-Johnstown (3-7) this Saturday afternoon. Edinboro recorded 14 shots in the game with five requiring the Mountain Cats goalkeeper to save. Anna Voelker faced five Pitt-Johnstown shots, saving four to ensure the clean sheet for the team.
The game's only goal saw Morgan Wissner return to the scoresheet. The deadlock was broken with just four minutes remaining in the first half. Wissner was assisted by Leah Czechowski for the eventual game winner.
Edinboro were able to maintain the pressure in a second half which contained a flurry of cards for Pitt-Johnstown who were cautioned four times. Edinboro only registered the one caution showing great discipline in games thus far.
An important victory in what was The Fighting Scots third straight away game. Edinboro return home to Sox Harrison Stadium this Wednesday, Oct. 6 with Kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. against Seton Hill.
