Since the previous match
In the Fighting Scots previous match over two weeks ago, they fell to Clarion at home in three sets during the quarterfinals of the PSAC Tournament. The long break has given Edinboro time to recover and prepare for an unknown opponent. This past Monday night, the Scots next opponent was revealed during the NCAA selection show as they were chosen as the No. 4 seed in the Atlantic Region. As announced, Edinboro will play the No. 5 seed in Clarion University for the opening round. Both PSAC-West teams will travel to Wheeling, West Virginia for a neutral site battle on Thursday.

Scouting Fifth Seed Clarion
The Clarion Golden Eagles have been on fire lately and have found the perfect time to peak as the postseason continues. Clarion has won their last four matches, including a PSAC championship over Gannon on Nov. 20. The Golden Eagles gained complete control in the PSAC tournament and never turned it off as they only dropped one set in the entire tournament.
As mentioned, the Fighting Scots and Golden Eagles will play for the fourth time this season, as Edinboro holds a (2-1) record advantage over Clarion.
Clarion had three players recognized for the PSAC regular season major awards and all-conference teams. Clarion freshman Cassidy Snider won Rookie of the Year honors as well as a first team All-PSAC West selection. She was joined by her teammate junior London Fuller on the first team selection. Junior Julia Piccolino of Clarion was recognized as a part of the second team All-PSAC West.
In the PSAC championship match against Gannon, the Golden Eagles never allowed their opponent to reach twenty points in a set. Clarion was led by Tournament MVP London Fuller who posted 31 assists, nine digs and three kills, including the game winning point. She was followed by Julia Piccolino and Cassidy Snider who each finished with a match-high 11 kills. On defense Abigail Selfridge controlled Gannon's attack with 27 digs in only three sets.
