Men's tennis picks up second straight victory; women battle Slippery Rock

Box Score (New/Sortable Format) 1 | Box Score (New/Sortable Format) 2 Edinboro, Pa - The Edinboro tennis programs got outside for their first true home matches of the season. The men were able to pick up a 5-2 victory over Bloomsburg, making it eight straight wins over the Huskies for the Fighting Scots. The women hosted Slippery Rock, but fell in their first PSAC action of the season.

In single's action, the Fighting Scots one through five singles players all picked up victories in straight sets. Takahiro Inoue, Ruben Acuna, Thibault Dorval, Gustavo Martins, and Kaio Sacchi were all able to pick up victories in singles action. In doubles, the duo of Martins and Dorval won a 6-3 decision in number two doubles.

While the women did not pick up any victories on the afternoon, Slippery Rock features an experienced roster and girls who have NCAA Tournament experience. This will be a match they learn from and it will motivate them as the season progresses.

The men's team will face Kutztown tomorrow afternoon in Edinboro at 1:00 p.m. The women also return to action tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. after a schedule change. They will be taking on Seton Hill.
