EDINBORO, Pa. – The Fighting Scots softball team will begin a four game season series with Slippery Rock University on Friday, April 9 at 2:30. Edinboro will be on the road for Friday's doubleheader and will host Slippery Rock on Saturday, April 10 at 4:30 for the back half of the season series.

Edinboro split their season series with Mercyhurst winning both road games against the Lakers Tuesday afternoon. Edinboro is now 5-7 on the year with an identical record in the PSAC.
The team was able to put together a solid pitching effort paired with 22 total hits between the two games. Mackenzie Quider (Sanborn, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield) and Cheyenne Shughart (Shermansdale, Pa./West Perry) each totaled five hits on Tuesday with teammate Maura Pasquale adding four runs and three hits to her impressive campaign.
In the circle, Macy Sral (Lilly, Pa./Penn Cambria) Jade Renner (Wind Ridge, PA/West Greene), Dylan Claycomb (Roaring Spring, Pa./Central), and Lauren Bush (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) helped hold the Lakers to just eight runs in two games. Sral is now 4-2 on the season with Bush picking up her first career college victory in game number two against Mercyhurst.
The Fighting Scots won their last four games against The Rock in the 2019 season. Edinboro has won 21 of their last 32 games over the PSAC foe dating back to the 2012 campaign. In 2021, Slippery Rock is 3-15 coming in fresh off of a win over Clarion University Wednesday, April 7.
 
Slippery Rock is scheduled to travel to Edinboro Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
