Romeoville, Ill. – The Edinboro women's cross country team finished 10th among a field littered with nationally ranked teams Saturday morning.
"This was a great opportunity for us to get into a national preview race," said head coach Nathan Meeurwenberg. "It was a chance for us to really get after it and it was just what we needed."
The Fighting Scots place two-runners in the top 10 with
Kylie Anicic finishing second overall and
Kimberly Goerss coming in seventh. Ancic crossed the line in 21:09 while Goerss finished in 21:46.
Kate Szep was the third Edinboro scorer with a time of 22:43 to finish in 34
th.
Olivia Roberts finished 117
th in 24:27.
Alexa Trax posted a time of 24:32 good for 120
th.
Lauren Jacobs ran a time of 25:26 and Aubrey Sumrow rounded out the Fighting Scot lineup with a time of 30:47.
The Scots are back in action on October 22 when they travel to the Wayne State Invitational.
