Edinboro, Pa. -- After two weeks of being idle, the Edinboro men's basketball team will host both Lock Haven and Mansfield as part of the annual PSAC crossover series this weekend. On Sunday, the Scots will welcome in Lock Haven for a 3 p.m. tip off. The following day, Edinboro will host Mansfield for another 3 p.m. start.
Last Time Out
Edinboro enters the weekend with a (2-5) overall record after their recent losses to Millersville and Shepherd on the road during the first weekend of the month. In their two conference losses, Edinboro averaged 58.5 points per game while shooting 35.8% from the field. The Scot's Naim Miller led the team with 16.0 points per game in the opening weekend of the PSAC crossover.
As a Team
After just seven games played, Edinboro has used their break to readjust and realign their focus upon conference play.
On the season Edinboro has averaged 71.3 points per game while shooting 43.8% from the field and 31.1% from three-point land.
The Fighting Scots lead the entire PSAC conference in rebounding margin. Edinboro is averaging 7.9 more rebounds per game than their opponents. Edinboro is also third in offensive rebounds at 12.9 per game and fifth in combined team rebounding at 39.7 per game.
Edinboro's physicality also contributes to their game on the offensive end. The Scots average 34.0 points in the paint per game.
Individual Leaders
Kierell Green leads Edinboro in scoring at 15.0 points per game and is shooting 41.9% from deep. Green also averages 7.1 rebounds per game,
Dominique Keyes has averaged an even 11.7 points and 11.7 rebounds per game and has already recorded three double-doubles on the season.
Miller averages 11.7 points per game and leads the team with 16 three-pointers this season.
Lock Haven
The Bald Eagles of Lock Haven University are led by head coach Mike Nestor. Lock Haven enters the contest with a (6-1) overall record after their two commanding wins at home against Seton Hill and Cal U.
Lock Haven has averaged 75.0 points per game while sustaining a +77-scoring margin over their opponents. The Bald Eagles are shooting 46.7% from the field and are averaging almost six three-pointers per game. Jayy Davis leads the Bald Eagles in scoring at 15.4 points per game. Eli Washington contributes 12.6 points per game along with 4.3 rebounds.
Mansfield
The Mounties of Mansfield University are led by head coach John Szentesy. Mansfield enters the contest with a (2-3) overall record after their (1-1) start to conference play.
Mansfield has averaged 71.6 points per game while shooting 43.4% from the field. The Mounties have also made 7.6 three pointers per game this season. Idris Ali leads the Mounties in scoring at 15.4 points per game. Scott Woodring adds 12.8 points per game along with 6.6 rebounds.
