Edinboro, Pa. - The Edinboro men's basketball will battle PSAC West opponent Clarion University in a two-game series, as Clarion hosts the first game on Monday followed by Wednesday's game at McComb Fieldhouse. Both games are set for a 7:30 p.m. start.
Eighteen games in
Edinboro comes into Wednesday's matchup with a (5-13) overall record and (3-10) in PSAC play. As of recently, the Fighting Scots have dropped their last nine games as they look to get back into the winning column.
On defense the Scots continue to control the paint with blocks and rebounds. Edinboro is second in the PSAC with 42.1 team rebounds per game. The Fighting Scots are the top ranked team in the conference for blocks per game at 4.78.

Last time out
On Saturday afternoon Edinboro fell to Pitt-Johnstown 72-59 at home. Edinboro led by nine points in an efficient first half. A change in momentum in the second half boosted the Mountain Cats past the Fighting Scots.
Edinboro was efficient from the field in the first half, shooting 53% and connecting on four three-pointers. The Scot's defense held Pitt-Johnstown to 36% from the field.
In the second half Edinboro's shooting percentage dropped to 27%, while the Mountain Cat's increased their shot percentage to 47% which was enough to seal the win for Pitt-Johnstown.
Moore had 12 points and 13 rebounds finishing with a double-double.
Robertson led Edinboro with a team-high 15 points, along with six rebounds.
Coates contributed 14 points on 75% shooting from the field.
Clarion Scouting Report
Clarion comes into the competition with an overall record of (9-11) and (5-10) in the PSAC. The Golden Eagles have been hot recently, winning two of their last three games.
On offense, Clarion averages 74.8 points per contest while shooting 45% from the field and 35% from three-point range.
Clarion has three players that average double figures in scoring. Gerald Jarmon leads the way with 19.3 points per game. Connor Ferrell scores 16.2 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game. Lawernce Lemon adds 12.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
In the Golden Eagles last game, they were defeated by Mercyhurst 71-61. Jarmon led all Clarion players with 17 points.
