Edinboro, Pa – The Edinboro women's tennis team will return home to the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, PA this weekend to open conference play with PSAC opponents, West Chester University of Pennsylvania and Millersville University. On Saturday the match with West Chester begins at 6 p.m. On Sunday, the match with Millersville begins at noon.
Statistical Leaders
With eight matches under their belt and sitting at (5-3) overall, Edinboro currently has five players with a winning record in Singles play.
Vidisha Pallamreddy, Ana Nadai, and Anisha Thada each have a (5-3) Singles record.
Marina Zottele follows them up with a (4-4) record and has won three straight.
Kaitlin Toth remains perfect with her (3-0) Singles record.
In Doubles play the duo of Pallamreddy and Thada has been the best, as they hold a perfect (3-0) record when they team up together.
Last Time Out
On Friday the Fighting Scots fell 0-7 in a match against Queens College. Edinboro fell behind early in their match by dropping the doubles point. The duo of Kaitlin Toth and Anisha Thada fell in a close one 3-6, but the Scots were unable to secure a victory in doubles play.
A similar theme carried over into singles play as the Knights secure all six match points. The first singles match between Vidisha Pallamreddy and Maja Makal came down to the wire. Ultimately, Makal secured the victory over Pallamreddy 6-7, 4-6.
West Chester Scouting Report
West Chester is a member of PSAC conference of the Atlantic Region. West Chester currently holds an (1-2) overall record and hasn't competed in one match so far this spring. They are set up for a match against Mercyhurst on Friday. Last fall West Chester was led by Alyssa Skulsky who was (3-0) in Singles play.
Millersville Scouting Report
Millersville is a member of PSAC conference out of the Atlantic Region. Millersville currently holds a (4-4) overall record and has won four of their previous six matches. In their recent match against Goldey-Beacom, the Marauders fell 0-7. Millersville is led by Noelle Htwar, who is (5-7) in Singles play.
