Edinboro, Pa – The Edinboro Women's tennis team will travel to PSAC opponent Shepherd University on Saturday for a 1 p.m. start. Coming into the match, the Fighting Scots have a (1-1) PSAC conference record along with a (6-4) overall record.
Statistical Leaders
With ten matches under their belt, Edinboro currently has three players with winning records in Singles play.
Vidisha Pallamreddy holds a team best (7-3) singles record and has won her last two matches.
Anisha Thada follows her with a (6-4) record.
Marina Zottele and Ana Nadai are both (5-5) in singles play.
In Doubles the duo of Pallamreddy and Thada has been the best, as they hold a perfect (3-0) record when they team up together.
Last Time Out
Last weekend Edinboro began conference play when they hosted West Chester and Millersville. As they weekend concluded, the Fighting Scots came out with an even record of (1-1). Edinboro defeated West Chester 5-2 on Saturday. On Sunday, the Scots fell to Millersville 1-6.
In their most previous match on Sunday against Millersville, Edinboro fell behind early dropping all three doubles matches as Millersville would earn the doubles point. In singles Vidisha Pallamreddy acquired the Scot's only win out of six matches.
In doubles, the duo of Marina Zottele and Maria Clara Salomao came up short when they fell to Maria Ojeda and Chole Abramowitz 2-6.
In singles, Pallamreddy came away with her seventh win of the season when she dominated Jasmine Morris 6-0, 6-1. Zottele fell to Kelsey Heckert in a close one 1-6, 4-6.
Shepherd Scouting Report
Shepherd is a member of PSAC conference out of the Atlantic Region. Shepherd currently holds a (3-3) overall record and is (1-2) in the spring so far. In their recent match against Stockton, the Rams were defeated 0-7.
