Edinboro, Pa. – The Scots travel to New Wilmington, Pa. on Saturday, April 9, to compete at the Westminster College Invitational.
Last Time Out
Edinboro were last in action on Saturday at the Dave Labor Invitational.
Kimberly Goerss placed first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:44.06.
Anna Alberti placed 14th with a time of 4:59.10. Both runners posting PSAC qualifying times.
The Fighting Scots men provided a strong showing in the 1500-meter finals with four runners posting PSAC qualifying times.
Ward Ries placed second at 3:56.22, followed by
Conner Volk-Klos in fourth at 3:56.37.
Matt Wehrle posted a time of 3:57.02 and
Nick Amos clinched ninth at 3:59.70.
Jayna Galley took a joint third place finish in the women's high jump clearing a height of 1.50m.
Kenzie Lendon (12.18m) and
Kendra Rice (11.48m) placed fourth and sixth respectively in the women's shot-put event. Lendon's throw earned PSAC qualification in the process. Lendon also qualified for the PSAC championships with a 42.86m hammer throw.
Alicia Fritz posted a throw of 35.65m in the women's javelin to take fifth place.
Trae Smith threw for a distance of 52.81m in the men's javelin clinching a PSAC spot and sixth overall.
Will Rodgers was just behind in seventh with a distance of 51.21m.
The Schedule
The meet starts on Friday with the hammer and javelin throws taking place at Slippery Rock University. The rest of the meet will happen on Saturday at Westminster. For a full schedule click
