Millersville, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's and women's track teams got off to fast starts with both teams scoring in the 10,000 meter race Thursday night at the PSAC Championships hosted by Millersville University.
For the women,
Kylie Anicic ran a 36:46.38 to take first place earning 10 points for the Scots.
The men posted a dominate performance scoring 30 team points.
Danny Desmond led Edinboro with a first place finish in a time of 31:17.15.
Jack Lacina came in second at 31:23.11 and
Nick Amos was third at 31.26.67.
Cole Hanks finished in fifth at 31:30.73 less than .25 seconds behind fourth place finisher Aiden Gonder of Shippensburg.
Eric Alu added a seventh place finish crossing the line 31:36.01.
After the first four events of the heptathlon,
Jayna Galley found herself in third place and 322 points back of leader Madison James of West Chester. After finishing ninth in the 100-meter hurdles, Galley was third in each of the high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash. The heptathlon will conclude on Friday with the long jump, javelin and 800 meter.
Lauren Jacobs will be the first Scot back on the track Friday when she runs the 800 meter. Tentatively scheduled for 3:35 p.m.
