Bloomsburg, Pa.-- The Edinboro women's tennis team concluded a long weekend at Bloomsburg University for the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships. Edinboro was featured in both open doubles and open singles. 

Women's Open Singles 

Marina Zottele competed in the open singles bracket along with two other Fighting Scots teammates. Zottele fell to Virginia Zanotti from Bluefield State College 2-6, 0-6. 

Cecillia Carayol was also featured in the open singles bracket. Carayol fell to Emma Arnal of West Liberty University 3-6, 1-6.  

Rafaella Negrao De Almeida rounded out the features for Edinboro in the open singles bracket. Negrao De Almeida fell to Adriana Gonzalez Sanches of Slippery Rock University 3-4, 4-6. 

Women's Open Doubles 

Cecillia Carayol and Rafaella Negrao De Almeida were also featured in the open doubles bracket as teammates. The duo fell to Shreya Chakraborty and Juliana Jimenez of Blue Field State College 1-6.  

The women will be back in action on Oct. 1, when they compete in the PSAC tournament hosted by Bloomsburg University.
