Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's tennis team will continue their home stretch this weekend with Salem University on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Last Match
In Edinboro's first match of the season they fell to Walsh University 0-7. In a hard-fought effort the Scots remained poised and continued to battle, despite a clean sweep from the Cavaliers.
In singles Rafaella Negrao De Almeida was able to put up 3-6, 4-6, against Carla Padberg in a losing effort.
Marina Zottele was another Fighting Scot who kept things close in her 4-6, 1-6 loss to Alexa Gamborino.
Salem
The Salem University Tigers are an independent team that competes at the division II level in the NCAA. The Tigers are led by Head Coach Dennis McNaboe. Salem will head north early this weekend to begin their season at Mercyhurst on Friday, before Edinboro on Saturday.
The Scots are (0-2) all-time against the Tigers. Last time they competed was back in 2021 when Salem defeated Edinboro 4-3.

After this weekend, Edinboro will have a two-week break in action before they host Frostburg State University on Feb. 24 at 7:00 p.m.
