Men’s Basketball Hosts Clarion on Senior Day

Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's basketball team will conclude their regular season on Saturday when they host Clarion University for senior day inside McComb Fieldhouse. Edinboro's seniors will be recognized prior to the 3:00 p.m. tip off. 

Last Time Out 
Edinboro enters the Week with a (6-20) overall record and (4-17) in the PSAC conference. On Wednesday Edinboro battled Gannon at home during the final matchup of the season for the two PSAC West teams. 

Edinboro avenged their loss to Gannon from earlier in the season with the 83-78 win on Saturday over the Golden Knights. Edinboro held the lead for most of the game and at one point was ahead by 17 points late in the second half. As the game grew closer to the end, Gannon continued decreasing the deficit.  

The Scots relied on the three-point ball to help them secure the win. Edinboro shot 45% from three-point range and connected on 13 three-pointers. Dominique Keyes led Edinboro with 18 points and 17 rebounds. 

Twenty-Six Games In 
With a current (4-17) record in the PSAC conference, Edinboro sits in the seventh spot out of the West and is ahead of Gannon and Clarion. 

On the season Edinboro has averaged 70.0 points per game while shooting 41.7% from the field and 32.0% from three-point land. 

The Scots have controlled the glass all season. Edinboro is third in the conference for combined team rebounds with 38.6 per game. The Scots are also twenty-seventh in the nation with 12.6 offensive rebounds per game.  

In their last four games Edinboro is shooting 40% from three, while hitting at least six three-pointers per game in that span. 

Team Leaders 
Naim Miller is Edinboro's leading scorer at 16.1 points per game and is shooting 33.3% from three-point range. Miller dropped 16 points in their win over Gannon on Wednesday. 

Kierell Green averages 14.2 points per game for the Scots to go along with 8.8 rebounds per game. Green is one of four players in the PSAC to average at least 14.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. 

Keyes averages 12.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. In their last game against Gannon, Keyes exploded for his fourteenth double-double of the season with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Keyes is fourth in the nation for rebounds per game. 

Clarion 
Clarion enters the contest with a (3-24) overall record and (1-20) in the conference after their recent 50-54 loss to Slippery Rock. Clarion is ranked ninth in the PSAC West standings behind Gannon and Edinboro. 

Edinboro defeated Clarion 73-69 back on January 21st in a game that continually went back and forth with nine lead changes. In the final seconds Edinboro was up by a bucket when Miller grabbed his own rebound off the missed free throw. Miller went back to the line and iced the game with consecutive free throws. 

Miller led Edinboro with 19 points, while Clarion's Gerald Jarmon posted a game-high 30 points. 

Clarion is sixth in the PSAC with 7.9 three-pointers made per game and sixth in the conference with 11.5 offensive rebounds per game. 

Gerald Jarmon leads Clarion in scoring at 15.8 points per game along with a team-high 46 made three-pointers on the season. Mekhi Reynolds adds in 13.8 points per game and is shooting 40% from three-point range.
