Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's tennis team will continue PSAC play this week as they look to play in their first match outdoors. The Scots will host IUP on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
Last weekend the Edinboro women hosted back-to-back matches at the Westwood Racquet Club. The Scots split the weekend with a 5-2 win over Shepherd and a 3-4 loss to Fairmont State.
The Edinboro women were one singles match away from pulling out a huge win over the Falcons from Fairmont State and making it a perfect weekend. After dropping the doubles point, the Scots made a resounding comeback effort. The match was tied at 3-3 with one final singles match going on.
Cecillia Carayol fell to Maria Fonseca in a heartbreaking 3-6, 7-5, 6-0 match that ultimately decided in favor of Fairmont State.

The Edinboro women enter the match with a (1-0) conference record. The Scots sit in third place in the PSAC West standings as they closely trail Mercyhurst and IUP.
In eleven matches played Ana Nadai owns the best singles record at (5-6) on the season. In doubles, Nadai and Sandra Riecken lead the Scots with their (5-6) record.
IUP
The Crimson Hawks of IUP currently sit in first place of the PSAC West conference standings with a (2-0) conference record. In their last match, the Hawks swept the Griffins from Seton Hill 7-0.
Last season when the Crimson Hawks and the Fighting Scots went head-to-head it was IUP who came away with 7-0 win.

After this week's action the Edinboro women will be back this weekend when they host West Virginia Wesleyan College at noon on Sunday.
