Women’s Tennis Visits the Vulcans

California, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's tennis team is set for their match on the road against California (Pa.) on Wednesday afternoon. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m. as the Scots look to jump back into the winning column.  

Last Week 
This past week the Edinboro women competed in three matches in the span of four days. The Scots finished the week (1-2) as they battled three PSAC West opponents. 

On Tuesday, the Edinboro women earned their first sweep of the season as they defeated Clarion 7-0 on the road. 

The next day the Scots fell to Slippery Rock 0-7 at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, Pa. 

On Friday, the Edinboro women closed out the week as they were defeated on the road by Mercyhurst 0-7. 

Edinboro 
The Edinboro women enter the match with a (5-11) overall record and (2-3) in the conference. The Scots are currently in fourth place in the PSAC West standings. 

In sixteen matches played Ana Nadai owns the best singles record at (6-8) on the season. In doubles, Nadai and Sandra Riecken lead the Scots with their (6-8) record. 

Cal U 
The Vulcans of California are led by head coach Anita Onufer and are (7-9) overall. The Vulcans are (1-2) so far this season in conference play and sit in sixth place in the PSAC West standings. 

In their last match the Vulcans were defeated by Salem 0-7. Last season Edinboro prevailed over Cal with a convincing 7-0 win. 

Up Next 
Next week the Edinboro women will cap off their regular season with a match against Seton Hill at home. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
