Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro Fighting Scot women's soccer team will kick off the 2023 season on Thursday night when they host Notre Dame College at 6 p.m. inside Sox Harrison Stadium.
Scoring Returns
The Fighting Scots will bring back all six players that scored goals for them in the 2022 season. Megan Maltis and
Reece Enochs led the charge scoring three goals each.
In Net
Kaylee Lauriel returns after starting all 18 games in net last year with a 1.45 goals against and .752 save percentage.
Marin Sleith also saw action in goal a season ago. Freshamn
Maxine Crosby and
Molly Schoch join the mix between the pipes.
Last Season
Edinboro finished 2-9-7 a year ago and were 1-8-7 in the PSAC West. The Scots pitched four shutouts and played in three one-goal games on top of the seven ties.
Preseason Poll
The Scots were selected seventh in the PSAC West Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Scouting the Falcons
The Falcons were 7-8-4 overall and 6-6-4 in the Mountain East Conference. Notre Dame returns it's top five goal scoeres from a season ago led by Madison Marino with seven goals. They also return Jordan Pasalaqua in net after she made 89 saves and pitched seven shutouts.
