Cross Country Travels to Lock Haven Invitational

Lock Haven, Pa. -- The Edinboro cross country teams are back in action on loaded Lock Haven Invitational Saturday.

The Races
There will be four races on Saturday. The men's Crimson Race starts at 10 a.m. and the women's Crimson Race begins at 10:45 a.m. At 11:30 a.m. the mens White Race steps off at 11:30 a.m. and the women's White race starts at 12:15 p.m.

The Field
There are 48 total teams with 45 men's squads and 47 women's across Divsion I, II and III.

Regional Preview
The Fighting Scots will get a look at the course where the NCAA Regional Championships will be held. The Scots last ran at Lock Haven in 2021.

Men's Last Time Out
The Edinboro men's cross country team had three athletes make their collegiate debut at the Tiffelburg Open.

PJ Berger was the Scots top performer crossing the line in 27:05.84 to finish in 20th. Aaron Myers was 36th with a time of 28:16.35.

Will Michael checked in with a time of 29:58.11 to finish in 49th while Nick Northrup rounded out the Edinboro competitors with a time of 30:04.49 to finish 51st.

Women's Last Time Out
The Edinboro women's cross country team started their season strong taking four of the top six spots to win the Tiffelburg Open.

Kylie Anicic paced the field finishing first in 17:26.39 crossing the line over a minute before the second-place finisher. Kate Szep was the next Scot across the line with a time of 18:51.35 good for third. Alexa Trax was fifth with a time of 19:31.90 and Katie Slimon posted a time of 10:02.51 to finish sixth.

Kadi Bauer finished just outside the top 10 with a time of 20:34.14 to come in 11th. Jocelyn Wilson was 24th with a time of 21:32.14. Heidi Gordon rounded out the Scots lineup with a time of 26:58.48.
