Men’s Basketball Returns Home to Host Pair of PSAC Games

Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro men's basketball team is back in McComb Fieldhouse for a pair of PSAC contests on Wednesday and Saturday.
 
The Games
The Scots host East Stroudsburg on Wednesday at 3 p.m. before opening PSAC West play on Saturday with a home game against Clarion also at 3 p.m.
 
Last Time Out
The Scots dropped a 77-71 decision to host Shippensburg on Dec. 30. Madior Seye led the Edinboro offense with 18 points to go with seven rebounds. Bernie Blunt added 17 points, five rebounds and four assists. Jack Gallagher scored nine points while leading the team with 11 boards.
 
Offensive Leaders
Blunt leads the Edinboro offense with 20.0 points per game. He also averages 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per outing. Daunte Wilcott is the Scots leading rebounder at 6.5 per contest while also scoring 9.9 points per game. JJ Eubank chips in 8.6 points per contest.

Lakeem McAliley notched a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds while Justin Paz tallied 16 points. Tyshawn Trail and Nasir Griffin each scored in double figures with 11 and 10 respectively.
 
The Warriors average 86.3 points per game while allowing 73.5. They hold a 3.8 advantage on the glass and a +4.2 edge in turnover margin. McAliley leads the offense with 15.2 points while pulling down 8.4 rebounds per game. Griffin adds 12.7 points while Jaelen McGlone adds 12.3.
 
Scouting the Golden Eagles
Clarion enters the week 5-6 overall and 3-2 in PSAC play after falling 90-70 to West Chester on Dec. 30. The Golden Eagles host Lock Haven at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
 
Clarion averages 75.7 points per game while allowing 77.5. The Golden Eagles are outrebounding opponents by a 3.9 margin and are a -3.8 on the turnover margin. Cam Kearney leads the offense with 15.9 points per game while grabbing 5.8 boards. Steve Kelly chips in 14.2 points per contest while Jayson Harris adds 12.4.
