Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro men's swim team tallied their first dual meet victory of the year topping Westminster 140-126 on Friday.
Edinboro got off to a fast start with the Scots taking the top two spots in the 200 medley relay.
Braden Hain,
Jake Hillibush,
Tommy Collins and Frank Berger were first in 1:38.47 and
Brian Bell,
Christian Connell,
Elijah Innis and Kasey Stanton were second in a time of 1:42.55.
Tommy Collins placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:07.78. He also swam a 2:04.49 in the 200-butterfly to place first. He picked up his third individual first with a swim of 54.74 in the 100-butterfly.
In the 200-freestyle, Hain placed first with a time of 1:49.64. He also touched the wall in 5:08.84 in the 500-yard freestyle to take first.
Jake Hillibush and
Christian Connell went one-two in the 100-breaststroke in times of 1:02.71 and 1:03.46 respectively. The pair switch places in the 200-breaststroke with Connell swimming 2:21.56 and Hillibush a 2:25.79.
Barger took the top spot in the 50-freestyle with a time of 22.12 and
Adrian Fikry Reina right behind him in 22.68. Reina was first in the 100-free with a time of 48.80 while Barger was second with a swim of 49.75.
Brian Bell posted a first-place swim in the 200-backstroke posting a time of 2:03.79. He also finished second in the 100-back with a time of 56.40.
The Scots closed out the meet with a first-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay with Innis, Haine, Reina and Barger finishing in 1:29.62.
The Scots are back in action on Nov.1 with a trip to Bloomsburg.
