Carlisle, Pa. – The Edinboro swim teams closed out a solid showing at the PSAC Championships on Saturday afternoon.
Lara De Carne finished sixth in the 100-freestyle with a time of 51.92. Cara Della Toffalo added a scoring time of 18:40.67 in the 1,650-yard freestyle to finish 20
th.
Baila Bugara was 22
nd in a time of 18:56.90. On the men's side
Kevin Santos placed 12
th in the 1,650 with a time of 16:49.39.
In the final of the 200-yard backstroke,
Izzy Hanek posted a time of 2:07.68 to tie for 18
th. Santos added a scoring time in the men's 200-back with a time of 1:57.03 to finish in 15
th.
Emma Beggs made the A final in the 200-breaststroke and placed sixth with a time of 2:25.15.
Leia Ross also placed in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:30.25 good for 21
st.
In the women's 400-yard freestyle relay, Hanek,
Alexis Schrecongost,
Lillian Dilts and De Carne teamed up to take fifth in a time of 3:32.03.
The men's quartet of
Elijah Innis,
Frank Barger,
Braden Hain and
Ted Kinney were seventh in the 400-yard free relay with a time of 3:07.78.
It was a record setting weekend for the Scots with the men's 200-butterfly record and the women's 200-frestyle relay record falling.
