The Scots scored twice in the top of the fourth on RBI singles from
Lauren Bush and
Kearson Wagner to break a 1-1 tie and held off a seventh inning push from the Bobcats to pick up a 3-2 victory.
Bush and Wagner each went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Macy Sral picked up the win in the circle allowing two runs on six hits while striking out two.
Winona State 5 Edinboro 2
Winona State got out to a 3-0 lead after three innings.
Morgan Spitler cut the lead to 3-1 when she singled home
Stephanie Krick in the fourth inning. The Trojans extended the lead to 5-1 with a pair of runs in the fifth. Krick singled home
Maura Pasquale in the bottom of the sixth setting the final.
Pasquale, Krick, Spitler and Wagner each tallied a pair of hits. Bush took the loss on the rubber allowing five runs, four earned on nine hits and five strikeouts.
Grand Valley State 3 Edinboro 1
The Scots got on the board first when Krick knocked in
Adeline Maguire with a fielder's choice. Grand Valley State scored three times in the bottom of the fifth.
Maguire and
Madalyn Valoroso picked up hits for Edinboro. Sral took the loss pitching six innings allowing three runs, two earned, on seven hits with four strikeouts.
Montana Billings 8 Edinboro 4
Billings jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first and added another run in the second. Maguire got the Scots on the board with a two run double in the bottom of the second. Valoroso knocked in
Isabella Becker in the fourth and Spitler brought home Krick with a sacrifice fly in the fifth trimming the lead to 6-4. The Yellow Jackets added two insurance runs via a two-run seventh inning homer.
Valoroso tallied a pair of hits to lead the Scots.
Jordan Lauer took the loss in the circle. Lexi Frisinia tossed 6.1 innings of relief allowing three runs, two earned, with three strikeouts.
Minnesota State 5 Edinboro 0
The Mavericks got on the board in the third. Minnesota State scored twice in the fourth and fifth to set the final.
Kayla Terwilliger, Pasquale and Valoroso each tallied a hit. Sral took the loss allowing five runs, three earned, over five innings.
