Men’s Basketball Back in Action with Pair of PSAC West Games

Erie, Pa. – The Edinboro men's basketball team takes on Gannon and Pitt-Johnstown this week.
 
The Games
The Scots travel to No. 11 Gannon on Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. show down with the Golden Knights. Fans that can't make it to the game can follow on live stats or watch on the PSAC Digital Network.
 
The Scots return home on Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest against Pitt-Johnstown. It will be senior day for the women's basketball team. Tickets can be purchased here. Fans can also follow along on live stats or watch on the PSAC Digital Network.
 
Last Time Out
The Edinboro men's basketball improved to 12-9 overall and 8-6 in the PSAC West after defeating visiting Clarion 94-93 on Friday. Evan Berger paced the Edinboro offense with 26 points including shooting 9-of-12 from the field and 5-of-6 from beyond the arc. He also tallied five rebounds and three steals. Ryan Ladjevich finished the night with 16 points and three assists. Cenker Evran tallied 15 points and eight rebounds while Steve Kelly chipped 15 points and five helpers. Bryce Baez was the fifth Scot to score in double figures with 12 points to go with five rebounds and two assists.
 
Honor Roll
Evran earned his third PSAC West Defensive Player of the Week award on Monday. Evran averaged a double-double again this week with 12.5 points and 13.0 rebounds in a pair of PSAC West victories over Slippery Rock and Clarion. Against Slippery Rock, Evran tallied 10 points, 18 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. It was his 16th double-double of the season. In the contest with Clarion,  Evran scored 15 points to go with eight rebounds, a block and a steal. Evran is now the nation's leading rebounder averaging 13.4 rebounds per game.
 
Last Time Out Gannon
The Golden Knights dropped a 106-84 decision to California (PA) moving to 16-6 overall and 11-3 in the PSAC West. Ernest Shelton finished with a team-best 23 points. Pace Prosser added 16 points while Tas Goodrick added 14 points.
 
Look Ahead Pitt-Johnstown
The Mountain Cats are 10-10 overall and 6-7 in PSAC West play after topping Seton Hill 100-97 in double overtime on Saturday. Ryan Smith led the Mountain Cats with 35 points. Baden Forup tallied a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Sean Dillon dished out 14 assists on the day.
