Lima, Ohio – The Edinboro women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to host Northwestern Ohio Saturday afternoon.
In doubles action,
Luciana Ponce and Rafaella de Alemida fell 6-3 to Ekaterina Orlova and Maragrita Tatur. Munisa Ashurbekova and Melissa Jangarasheva scored a 6-3 win over
Cecilia Carayol and Sophia Benito. At number three doubles, Agathe Valliant and Telma Herreros scored a 6-0 win over Clara Salomao and
Lara Sener.
Carayol played top singles falling 6-1, 6-4 to Ashurbekova. In number two singles, Orlova topped Ponce 6-1, 6-1. Jangarasheva scored a 6-4, 6-2 win over Benito at number three.
In fourth singles, Valliant was a 6-2, 6-1 winner of Almeida. Tatur scored a 6-2, 6-0 win over Sener at number five. In the final singles match of the day Salomao dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Herraros.
The Scots are back to action on Sunday when they travel to Hillsdale.
