Hillsdale, Mich. -- The Edinboro women's tennis team fell 7-0 to host Hillsdale Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.

At the top flight doubles, Ane Dannhauser and Courtney Rittel defeated Rafaella De Almeida and Luciana Ponce 6-1. At the second flight, Sofia Benito and Cecilia Carayol fell 6-3 to Briana Rees and Elizabeth McGivern. Megan Hackman and Isabella Spinazze were 6-0 winners over Lara Sener and Maria Clara Salomao.

Dannhauser took the top flight singles 6-0, 6-1 over Cecilia Carayol. Ponce dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to McGivern while Benito fell 6-0, 6-3 to Rees at number three.

In the number four slot, Rittel scored a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Sener. Salamao dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Julia Zlatevea at number five. Spinazze closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Mary Gerace.

The Scots return to action next Sunday when they host Frostburg State at 4 p.m. at Westwood Racquet Club.
