Evran and Jennings Bring Home Major Awards as PSAC Announces All-Conference Accolades

Lock Haven, Pa. – Cenker Evran was named PSAC West Defensive Player of the Year and Justin Jennings was the PSAC West Coach of the Year headlining a pair of all-conference selections announced Thursday afternoon by the conference office.
 
In addition to the awards, Evran was tabbed as a First-Team All-PSAC West selection and guard Steve Kelly was chosen to the second team.
 
In his second season at the helm of the men's basketball program, Jennings led the Scots to a 15-13 overall record and 11-9 mark in PSAC West play. After being selected eighth in the preseason poll, Edinboro finished in third in the West and advanced to the PSAC postseason for the first time since the 2017-18 season. The 15 wins this year was also the Scots best mark since that 2017-18 season.
 
Evran was a force in the post finishing the regular season second in the nation in rebounding with 12.6 boards per game. He tallied 20 double-doubles on the year also the second-best mark in Division II. Evran was also a top 20 scorer in the PSAC averaging 14.9 points per game to rank 17th in the conference. Evran boasted the best shooting percentage in the conference at 67.4 percent the sixth best mark in the country.
 
Kelly capped off his career with a second-team selection. He finished the year averaging 13.7 points per game. He ranked ninth in the PSAC in assists with 4.1 per contest and his 1.85 assist to turnover ratio was the sixth best mark in the PSAC.
