Lewisburg, Pa. – The Edinboro women's track saw a school record performance form
Bernadette Zukina and three more PSAC qualifiers at the Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
In the 200-meter dash, Zukina posted a school-record time of 24.92. The record was previously held by Lisa Kossman with a time of 24.97. Zukina also posted a solid run in the 400-meter finishing third with a time of 55.77.
In the 800 meter,
Eliza Miller punched her ticket to the PSAC Championships with a time of 2:20.94. Miller also competed in the mile run finishing seventh in a time of 5:19.80.
Kadi Bauer posted a time of 4:49.71 in the 1,500-meter placing 37
th.
Madeline Newark ran the 100-hurdles finishing 18
th in a time of 14.85.
Mackenzie Huston crossed the line in 1:05.84 in the 400-hurdles to place 31
st.
Katie Slimon earned her way into the PSAC Championship field in the 3K steeplechase with a time of 11:42.34.
The 4x400 relay team of Newark,
Maddison Doren, Huston and Zukina placed 13
th with a time of 3:58.54.
In the field events,
Anna Elder was a PSAC qualifier with her throw of 42.02 meters in the hammer. Elder also competed in the discus with a distance of 36.38 meters.
Newark cleared 1.63 meters in the high jump to finish eighth. Doren was 15
th in the long jump with a jump of 5.17 meters.
Eden Rush wrapped up the field events with a throw of 36.47 meters in the javelin to place 18
th.
The Scots are back in action on Thursday with a trip to the John Papa Invitational at Slippery Rock.
