Bethlehem, Pa. –
Bernadette Zukina won the PSAC title in the 400-meter dash and
Jada Cole qualified for the NCAA Nationals in the high jump highlighting another solid performance at the PSAC Championship Meet.
The Fighting Scot women finished the meet sixth overall with 58.5 points. The men in their return to the PSAC Championships were 10
th with 14.5 points.
Zukina turned in an Division II provisional time winning the 400-meter in 56.80.
Madison Hays reached the final and crossed the line in 59.50 to place sixth. Zukina was second in the 200-meter final in 25.25.
Jada Cole broke her own school-record clearing 1.74 meters in the high jump finishing third and putting herself solidly in the contention for NCAA Nationals.
Kadi Bauer and
Madeline Hammond each scored in the mile run with Bauer taking fourth in 5:09.50 and Hammond turned in a 5:13.60 to place eighth. Bauer ran the 3K in 10:22.79 to take fifth.
The men got a podium performance from
Donald Shymske in the 800-meter as he finished third in a time of 1:55.53.
Shea McCusker ran the mile in 4:21.77 to place eighth.
"We have continued to improve with the women improving from their finish a year ago and the men returning to the PSAC Championship," said head coach Taylor Cudquest. "We are going to buckle down this week and train for nationals. Then we will get on the road the following week and make sure that everyone else is good go with training!"

Connor Munson will prepare for Division II Indoor Nationals while the rest of the team prepare for the beginning of the outdoor season.
