EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro Women's Track & Field and Cross Country teams had athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams.
Madeline Newark,
Mackenzie Huston,
Bernadette Zukina,
Katie Slimon and
Kat Shope were selected to the CSC Academic All-District team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be eligible for the All-District team, an athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing, carried at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and achieved all-region accolades in track & field or a top-50 performance at the cross country regional meet.
Newark won the PSAC Indoor Championship in the pentathlon while Zukina claimed an Indoor PSAC Championship in the 400-meter dash. Slimon also won a PSAC Championship at the Outdoor Championship in the 3K Steeplechase.
Huston was an all-region performer in the 400-hurdles during the outdoor season. Shope was a top-50 finisher at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships.
