Women's Soccer Set for Pair of PSAC West Contests

Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's soccer team will play two PSAC West contests this week traveling to Clarion and playing host to Seton Hill.

The Games
The Scots hit the road Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest at Clarion. Fans can follow the game on live stats or watch on the PSAC Digital Network. On Saturday, Edinboro hosts Seton Hill at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the PSAC Digital Network as well as on live stats.

Last Time Out
In their last action, the Scots scored a 1-0 victory over California (Pa.). Jada Cole netted her eighth goal of the season on a penalty kick. Brianna Garey made six saves earning her third shutout of the season.

PSAC Weekly Honors
Garey earned her second PSAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday. She finished last week's PSAC West action with 18 saves, a .900 save percentage and a shutout.

National Rankings
Cole has scored in seven straight contests for the Scots. She currently ranks third in Division II and second in the PSAC in total goals with eight. She is also third in the country in goals per game at 1.14. Her three game-winning goals is tied for fifth in the nation and first in the PSAC. Garey ranks ninth in the nation and first in the PSAC in total saves with 49.

Scouting Clarion
The Golden Eagles are 1-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in PSAC West play after defeating Seton Hill 2-1 on Saturday. Seton Hill got out to a 1-0 lead, but Ciara DiMauro leveled the score in the 30th minute. Lexi Shattahi scored the game winner in the 85th minute. DiMauro leads the Clarion offense with 10 points on four goals and two assists. Sage Sherk has posted a 2.57 goals against average and a .690 save percentage.

Look Ahead to Seton Hill
The Griffins are 2-4-1 overall and 0-3-1 after falling 2-1 against Clarion on Saturday. Katie Pazdziorko is the team's leading scorer with two goals and one assist. Jordan Spozarski has started all seven games in net posting a 2.57 goals against average and a .667 save percentage. Seton Hill travels to Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday.
