Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro men's basketball team is back in action with PSAC West contests at IUP and home with Seton Hill this week.
The Games
The Scots travel to IUP on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff and will be
broadcast on the PSAC Digital Network and IUP Athletics will provide
live stats. On Saturday, Edinboro hosts Seton Hill at 3 p.m. with a
broadcast on the PSAC Digital Network and Edinboro Athletics providing
live stats. Tickets can be purchased
here for the Scots home contest on Saturday.
Last Time Out
The Scots are now 8-8 overall and 4-5 in PSAC play after dropping an 82-77 decision at California (Pa.) on Saturday.
Bryce Baez paced the Scots with 23 points seven rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal.
Rowan Carmichael finished with 19 points including five 3-pointers.
Evan Berger also scored in double figures with 11 points.
Taking Care of the Basketball
Edinboro has been strong with the basketball ranking third in Division II and first in the PSAC at just 9.5 turnovers per game. They also lead the PSAC and rank 11
th in the nation in assist/turnover ratio at 1.53.
Mekhi Reynolds is 20
th in the country and first in the PSAC with a 2.77 assist/turnover ratio.
Beyond the Arc
Carmichael leads Division II making 4.0 3-pointers per contest. Carmichael is third in the nation making 48.5 percent from long range. Berger ranks 12
th in the PSAC making 2.06 per outing.
IUP
The Crimson Hawks are 11-3 overall and 7-2 in PSAC play after dropping a 92-65 decision to Gannon on Saturday. Christian Moore led IUP with 24 points. Dallis Dillard added 15 points, four assists and three boards.
Seton Hill
The Griffins are 13-5 overall and 7-3 in PSAC play after scoring an 88-62 victory over Slippery Rock on Saturday. Kedrick Curtis led the way with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Rashaad Williams also scored 21 points with five helpers and three boards. Gabe Gillespie tallied 14 points and five rebounds. The Griffins are idle on Wednesday ahead of the trip to Edinboro.
