Slippery Rock, Pa. – The Edinboro track & field teams put together a strong showing at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock Friday and Saturday.
Jada Cole carried her indoor momentum directly to the outdoor stage clearing 1.76 meters in the high jump setting the school record and the current third-best mark in Division II.
The 400-hurdles was another record setting event for the Scots.
Morgan Wilhelm took first with an Edinboro record time of 1:02.59.
Mackenzie Huston ran the second-fastest time in school history with a 1:02.96.
Itzel Barrios turned in a PSAC qualifying throw in the hammer with a distance of 46.52 the second-best mark in school history.
Kadi Bauer also posted a PSAC qualifying time in the 800-meter with a time of 2:20. 09.
Madeline Hammond ran a personal best just off PSAC qualifying time with a 2:21.78 in the 800.
On the men's side,
Devin Smith was a PSAC qualifier in the 100-meter with a personal best 10.84.
Wesley Kellermeier was fourth in the 3K Steeplechase and was just one second off the PSAC qualifying mark in his first appearance in the event.
The Scots return to action next weekend with trips to the River Hawk Multi and Bison Outdoor Classic.
